Report about the presence of the U.S. warship Pittsburgh in the port of Amsterdam. A camera on another ship pans along the bow of the Pittsburgh, and then moves alongside it. Some of the sailors board a smaller boat. The musical band, composed of crew members, sits aboard the ship, which then sails through the port of Amsterdam. In the background, the fire department carries out some water-cannon exercises with a number of boats. In the meantime, the sailors are given sandwiches. An intertitle reports that a YMCA centre has been set up on the motorboat De Albatross, at the request of the American Chamber of Commerce in Amsterdam, and with the help of the NJV and the AMVJ (the Dutch equivalents of the YMCA). The secretaries of the YMCA Amsterdam, Mr. Loosjes and and Mr. Schipper, act funny for the camera.
