At a post office people receive their first sheet of 25 petrol ration coupons after showing their vehicle registration certificate and paying 2,50 guilders. Also with different ways to drive a car without petrol: the so-called MAV-car (Menskracht Aangedreven Voertuig (Vehicle Driven by Human Power), a pedal car), a car with electric motor and propeller, designed by Wielink from 's Heerenbroek, and a moped tricycle, designed by the 70-year-old Kuypers from Hilversum.
