In 1924 the KLM made the first flight from the Netherlands to Batavia in the Dutch East Indies in a single-engined Fokker F-VII, the HNACC. From 1931 there was a weekly service to Jakarta and nowadays the KLM flies to Indonesia three times a week with a DC-8 and a DC-10.
