Week number 48-32

Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.

Rescue demonstrations on the beach by members of the lifeguard brigades. SHOTS: - people arrive by bike at the chock-full bike stands near the beach of Bloemendaal; - beach scenes: th beach is packed with people; swimmers and bathers in the sea; other people walk by the deck chairs; ladies of middle age are knitting; children play at the water's edge; two girls ride on a little horse(?); - rescue demonstrations: rescuers enter the sea in several different ways to take a "drowning person" to shore: they themselves go into the water attached to a reel line or by "human chain" (people holding each others hands), or they sail on boats; after the rescue the victim is given artificial respiration, manually and by using a sort of seesaw stretcher. Note : On the location : the year list Polygoon calls it Zandvoort, in the comments it's called Bloemendaal.
