Second national cooking competition for domestic science schools in the Houtrust halls in The Hague. Working in pairs, 250 girls have to prepare a simple meal for two, consisting of carrots, potatoes, two ounces of steak and a caramel pudding. Two girls from the Domestic Science and Industry School in Alkmaar win the challenge cup.
