Exhibition of paintings by Salvador Dalí at the musuem Boijmans van Beuningen in Rotterdam, organised by head curator Renhilde Hammacher. The paintings by Dalí arrive in the Netherlands on a plane from Finnair named after Jean Sibelius. Under the close watch of the museum director of the Boijmans van Beuningen the paintings are unloaded and taken to the museum, where they are unpacked. At the exhibition are paintings, a.o. The temptation of St.Anthony, Christ of Saint John of the Cross, Girl standing at the window, The riddle of desire and The face of war, gouaches, drawings and jewellery, a.o. The royal heart, which was designed on the occasion of the coronation of queen Elizabeth II, The falling angel and dolphins and mermaids. Also sculptures by Dalí in a work of art.
