Week number 29-05
Newsreels in which Dutch subjects of a certain week are presented.
In the hard winter people in the streets of Haarlem try in different ways to keep warm. SHOTS: - Man (waiter?) walks across the city square and serves a traffic policeman a cup of coffee/tea; the same man "directs" the traffic in his own way, while the policeman drinks his coffee/tea; - worker puts some live coals in a fire basket on the Marktplein (Market square); people warm their hands by the fire; - people stand in a long line in the streets in front of a shed of the Salvation Army, where free cups of hot coffee are handed out; - some close ups of men drinking a bowl of coffee.
