Second and final part about the urban development in Zaandam.
The improvement of the traffic situation near the Wilhelmina lock is discussed and designed at the public works department. Demolition of the 'Peperhoek' and other old buildings. After that the first pile is driven into the ground for the messenger centre. The floors are ingeniously laid above water. Dredging works in the Achtersluis polder and footage of the new city park, modern schools and ditto blocks of flats.
