On the harbour day in Rotterdam, guests from here and abroad are driven in busses through Pernis, the Botlek and the Europoort, with a.o. refineries and transshipment companies. The next day the personnel of an American oil company in the Europoort goes ashore at the new oil refinery with the passenger ship Rotterdam. Minister Joop den Uyl of Economic Affairs the opens the refinery by unveiling a modern sculpture in the presence of a.o. Whiteford, the president of the company.
