The two-year existence of the Wegenwacht (Road Patrol) is commemorated with the solemn hoisting of the national flags in the presence of the complete partol of Dutch road patrollers (70 men stand to attention next to their motorcycles and salute) and representatives of the Belgian and English colleagues, after which a contest in changing tires is held and a parade through the streets.
