Because of the floriculture in the greenhouses around Aalsmeer it is possible to buy tulips, carnations, hyacinths etc. in the middle of winter. SHOTS: - bare trees; - in the bulb areasthe bulb fields are covered in straw; - in the greenhouses dozens of workers work to pick, collect and wrap the flowers; - at the flower auction the flowers are sold: buyers sit in benches; auction clock; employees of the auction wrap the flowers in airmail boxes; - people buy flowers in a stall (in an wintery street with bare trees).
