Report on the commemoration of seventeenth century naval hero Michiel de Ruyter in Vlissingen. For this occassion a historical reconstruction has been made of the event when De Ruyter sailed into the harbour of Vlissingen after the four-day naval battle against the English in 1666 and was welcomed by an enthusiastic crowd. SHOTS: - statue of De Ruyter in Vlisingen; - several of the harbour of Vlissingen.
