The vessel "Johan van Oldenbarnevelt" has brought eighthundred urns with ashes of Dutch soldiers that were killed during the Japanese occupation in the Dutch East Indies to the Netherlands. Fourteen of these urns are intered with militairy honour on the Oosterbegraafplaats (East cemetery) in Amsterdam. The honour, shown to these fourteen, applies to the whole group. SHOTS: - the urns are solemnly carried out of the building of the Red Cross and placed in a hearse; an honourary escort of Land and Naval Forces stands to attention; - teh procession moves through the streets odf Amsterdam; - miltairy escort in funeral pace; - at the cemetery the caskets with the urns are carried into the auditorium.
