Nijmegen was heavely damaged during World War II. Footage of several new development and reconstruction projects that have been started as part of the post war reconstruction. SHOTS: - damaged houses and buildings in the city centre; - the Minister of Post War Reconstruction and Housing, J. in 't Veld, performs the official opening of the construction of an industrial harbour in the Maas-Waal canal: he sets a sand pump into action; - shots of the houses in new development areas that are still under construction and the ones that are already finished; a.o. shot with a "moving" camera.
