On August 7 the government without a parliamentary majority Drees takes up office: a number of ministers (from the previous cabinet Beel) return. The members of the cabinet are introduced to the viewers. The new ministers are filmed as they enter Palace Soestdijk to be sworn in by the princess-regent Juliana; the second time they are filmed when the complete team of ministers poses for the press in a conference room in The Hague.
