The visitors of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam receive an electrical hearing device which gives them an explanation of the paintings in the rooms. SHOTS: - Visitors with headsets and hearing devices walk through the rooms looking around while listening; - shown is how everything works technically: the voice of the explicator is played on a tape recorder by a technician in a room at the side; an amplifier sends a signal to the ring wires in the rooms; a special induction coil was put in the hearing devices that picks up the signal from the ring wires; - the ear pieces are desinfected in a bin - an attendant hands out the devices to the visitors; - demonstration of the system by using a forgery: while the corresponding unmasking comments are played, a painting is shown which is supposedly by Vermeer but in reality by Han van Meegeren.
