The 70-year-old sculptor John Raedecker has passed away unexpectedly. The funeral procession passes the National Monument on Dam square. Also footage of the Toorop monument in The Hague, the war monument "De gefusilleerde man" (The executed man) in Waalwijk and construction activities on the Monument on Dam square, a.o. during the snowstorm and the placing of the central statue in the presence of Raedeckers two sons. With archive footage of Raedecker working on plaster models for the Monument on Dam square and during the placing of the dome-shaped top on the pylon of the monument.
