600 KLM pilots are on strike after the KLM management has refused to undo the dismissal of two colleagues, that acted as spokesmen for the airline organisation. With a.o. an empty restaurant and airplanes of other airline companies. The non-striking pilots are taken aboard a KLM Lockheed Super Constellation Isotope under police protection for a flight to the Middle East via Great Britain. After four days teh strike ends. The airplanes are made ready to go and then take off, a.o. the McDonnell Douglas DC-6 Abel Tasman to Damascus.
