A new building for the quality control in of vegetables and fruit has been taken into use in Wageningen. SHOTS: - Strawberries and apples are picked and collected in baskets; - ext. new building; a car drives onto the inner court and delivers a crate of apples; - int. building: demonstration of the keeping method using gas: the crate of apples is placed in a gastight room; an airhose is connected an a tap is opened; demonstration of the process method of freezing; a container of fruit is put into a freezer; laboratory staff doing different activities, a.o. using an Erlenmeyer flask; a panel of employees tastes the flavour of the vegetables.
