Reconstruction of the city centre of Eindhoven after WW II, as shown by the renovation of the shopping centre "De Demer". Heaps of rubble dating back from the war, but also new ones caused by the buildings that had to be taken down for the renovation, are symbolically taken away by mayor Kolfschoten and a procession of dressed up business men.
