Tom Manders arrives as Dorus in an old timer at the festively decorated Coolsingel and lays the last stone in the pavement. After that he drives in his car over a couple of balloons and on to the Coolsingel. Seated next to him is a woman who was born on 14 May 1940, the day of the bombing of Rotterdam. Also footage of people looking at the underground station Stadhuis and getting on the underground. With archive footage of the construction of the underground at the Coolsingel.
